  • We will accept applications from rising freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school (Fall, 2025) who are mature and in good academic standing. We are also accepting applications from current California Community College and university students.

  • A. Summer Program - Total payments must be made within 48 hours from the day your acceptance letter is received via email. Partial payment options are available for extraordinary circumstances. Please contact us at info@SportsIndustryAcademy.com if you would like to discuss this further.

    Note: Failure to pay within the grace period listed above will result in you forfeiting your selection to attend the Summer Program.

    After May 1st, you will have 24 hours for total payment.

    Failure to pay within the grace period listed above will result in you forfeiting your selection to attend the Sports Industry Academy Summer Program.

  • Major credit cards, debit card, and Pay Pal.

  • Summer Program - Refunds are available prior to May 15, 2025. No refunds will be available after May 15, 2025. All refunds require a $50 administrative cost.

  • The Sports Industry Academy is committed to providing opportunities for aspiring professionals in the sports industry. We offer scholarships to help offset the cost of attending our summer program; however, please note that these awards are primarily partial and limited in number.

    To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete the following steps:

    1. Apply for the Summer Program

    • Complete and submit the Sports Industry Academy Summer Program application.

    2. Submit a Scholarship Request

    Email to info@sportsindustryacademy.com with the subject line: "Scholarship Request – [Your Full Name]"

    • In your email, please include:

      • Your full name, age, school, and grade level (or college year, if applicable).

      • A compelling statement (300-500 words) explaining:

        • Why you are interested in the Sports Industry Academy.

        • Your career aspirations in the sports industry.

        • Any challenges or financial barriers preventing you from attending.

        • How attending this program will impact your academic, professional, and personal growth.

    Applicants will be evaluated based on:

    • Demonstrated Interest in the Sports Industry: Evidence from coursework, extracurricular activities, internships, or work experience.

    • Commitment to Academic and Professional Growth: A clear vision of how the program aligns with your goals and strong motivation to succeed.

    • Leadership and Community Engagement: Participation in school, community, or athletic leadership roles.

    • Financial Need: Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate financial barriers to participation.

    Due to the limited number of scholarships available, we encourage you to apply early and provide thorough information in your application. We look forward to reviewing your submissions and helping you take the next step in your academic and professional journey in the sports industry.

  • The scholars will need a computer/tablet (if possible), clothing, bedding (if applicable - housing will provide minimum), toiletries, etc. We will provide a full list of items prior to your arrival.

  • Scholars will be housed in the Santa Rosa residence hall on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Scholars will share a room and will be provided with a bed, desk, linens, pillows and blankets. Scholars may bring their own bedding. Rooms will be fully sanitized prior to the arrival of the scholars.

  • The Santa Rosa residence hall will be managed by the U.C. Santa Barbara Conference Services department. After-hours entry to residence halls is controlled by restricted access electronic keys. In addition, all residence halls and apartments are patrolled by the Community Service Organization (CSO) in cooperation with the U.C. Santa Barbara Police Department. Director, Walter Boggan as well as two Sports Industry Academy Interns will also be housed in the Santa Rosa residence halls during the duration of the Sports Industry Academy summer program.


    If accepted, the Sports Industry Academy will send the Scholars and their parents/guardians a detailed program outline which will include direct contact information and resources for the Sports Industry Academy summer program.

  • Accepted Scholars will need to report to the Santa Rosa residence hall on Sunday, July 21, 2024 between the times of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (pst) Check out will be the afternoon of Friday, July 26, 2024. A detailed itinerary will be sent to Scholars and their parents/guardians prior to arrival.

  • Yes, complimentary shuttle service to and from the Santa Barbara Airport and the Goleta station of the Santa Barbara Airbus is available through the Santa Rosa residence hall front desk. Detailed information will be sent to accepted Scholars.

  • No, the Sports Industry Academy is an independent program that is hosted at U.C. Santa Barbara through an agreement with U.C. Santa Barbara Conference Services.
